The ICY Psychosocial Rehabilitation Team includes an occupational therapist, rehabilitation assistants, recreation and peer support workers. Our occupational therapist develops rehabilitation plans to help youth gain and maintain independent living skills.
Rehabilitation assistants work individually with clients and in groups to implement these rehabilitation plans. This group also links ICY youth to adult education, post-secondary education, volunteer and vocational opportunities. A recreation worker organizes and coordinates a wide range of social and recreational activities to engage youth in the community.
Peer support workers with lived experience provide youth with help and support. Peer support workers are matched with ICY clients and can support them in tasks of daily living such as getting to an appointment, grocery shopping and so much more!
